I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Delaware
and a recipient of the Doctoral Fellowship for Excellence. I work under the guidance
of Dr. Shangjia Dong at the
Dong Research Lab
and am also affiliated with the
Disaster Research Center,
a hub for interdisciplinary disaster science scholars and practitioners. My research centers
around disaster impact modeling, complex network analysis, community resilience, and urban
planning with specialization in system dynamics for coupled human-infrastructure systems,
advanced data analytics, machine learning, geospatial analysis, and econometric modeling.
I completed my undergraduate studies in the discipline of Civil Engineering with honors from
the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN). I was awarded the Director's Gold Medal
for outstanding overall performance and Institute Gold Medal for securing the highest cumulative
performance index in my discipline. During my time at IITGN, I worked under the guidance of
Dr. Udit Bhatia in the Machine Intelligence & Resilience Lab to develop robust networked
infrastructure systems.
